J. Cole is coming with that heat in 2019!

The "1985" rapper dropped his new single "Middle Child" on Wednesday (January 23), and immediately fans went wild over the fire track (Take a listen, it's a bop!). However, fans were also able to quickly realize that Cole threw some shade at Kanye West in multiple bars.

Cole's dissing of Ye begins with him mentioning Drake, who, as everyone knows, Kanye's currently feuding with. "This watch came from Drizzy, he gave me a gift/ Back when the rap game was prayin' I'd diss," he rapped. Cole then seemed to address Ye's multiple Twitter rants directed at the "In My Feelings" rapper, seemingly calling it a publicity stunt to sell his music and Yeezy sneakers. "They act like two legends cannot coexist/ But I'd never beef with a ni**a for nothin / If I smoke a rapper it's gon' be legit / It won't be for clout / It won't be for fame / It won't be 'cause my shit ain't sellin' the same / It won't be to sell you my latest lil' sneakers," Cole rapped.

Twitter immediately lit up with reactions to Cole's shady bars, with many calling it the new rap beef of 2019.

As fans know, Kanye and Cole have had beef before. Back in 2016, Cole admittedly took shots at Yezzy on his hit "False Prophets." Since then the two have had their ups and downs (Ye infamously posted a screenshot of a phone call between him and Cole that Cole later said felt like he was being "used" by) However, all seemed good between the two. Especially since Ye has been feuding with Drake, and Drake alone for over six months.
