Meghan Markle is one busy Duchess. Between her official duties as a Royal, preparing for her first child with Prince Harry, and renovating her new home, it seems unlikely that Meghan has the time to get back into acting. Rumors have started to swirl, though, that the Duchess of Sussex is planning on making a cameo in the series finale of Suits, which she starred on for seven seasons before marrying Prince Harry last May.
Deadline caught up with the creator of Suits, Aaron Korsh, and asked if the rumors about Meghan's return to the show were true. While he didn't confirm her cameo, he definitely didn't outright deny it, either. "As of this minute I don't know which of our old original cast will be back and which won't because we're so early in the season," he said. "I can tell you that those things in the papers, I have no idea what they're talking about."
Aaron also addressed the claims that NBC Universal was willing to make a $5 million charity donation in order to get Meghan to make a cameo as Rachel Zane. The cameo would reportedly only last five seconds. So, yeah, that's a million dollars a second, which is...a lot of money! Aaron did deny these claims. "I have not arranged for millions of dollars to be donated to anything on behalf of anyone so that I can tell you," he said. "But as far as the original people coming back... we're so early in the season that we haven't formulated what we want to do, so we can't reach out to people before we know what we want to do."
Would you want to see Meghan make a return to acting? We'll just have to wait and see if Rachel Zane pops up in the series finale.
