Ariana Grande's Japanese Tattoo Typo Translates To Something Hilarious

Ariana Grande 's new ink has a hilarious misspelling we can't just let go.

This week, the Sweetener singer got a new tattoo on her palm to celebrate her latest single "7 Rings" reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Per an image Grande shared to social media, it seems she opted for song's title to be scrawled in Japanese Kanji character symbols — however, fans quickly noticed a funny error in the design.

“This felt super good @kanenavasard jk (everyone thinks this is a fake hand but it’s indeed…. my hand," the "Thank U, Next," star captioned an Instagram post, proudly flaunting her newly-inked palm.

That's when a Japanese follower informed her that the message, "七輪," translates to "shichirin," which actually means — you're going to love this — barbecue grill. "Ariana Grande’s new tattoo “七輪” means Japanese style bbq grill, not 7 rings," the Twitter user explained. "If you want to know about 七輪, just google “SHICHIRIN.”

Word eventually got around to the 26-year-old, who took the photo down not long after. But the singer returned to Twitter, all in jest, with a painfully reasonable explanation behind the misspelling.

"Indeed, I left out “つの指” which should have gone in between. It hurt like f**k n still looks tight. I wouldn’t have lasted one more symbol lmao," she tweeted. "But this spot also peels a ton and won’t last so if I miss it enough I’ll suffer thru the whole thing next time."

Despite the symbol slip, Grande playfully insisted she's a "huge fan of tiny bbq grills," anyway.

So everyone wins.
