Step into a whole new Xperience! Christina Aguilera transformed the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles into another realm for an intimate preview of what to expect at her forthcoming Las Vegas residency, Christina Aguilera: The Xperience, on Thursday, January 31. Fresh off the heels of the announcement and her Liberation tour, the songstress also bared her soul during a candid Q+A hosted by songstress Elle King.
“I’m so excited for this time and this moment and this exciting new chapter and what it has in store,” Xtina told the crowd after kicking off the evening with a perfectly modernized rendition of “Genie In a Bottle” and “Beautiful.” “I’m kind of accumulating all these new ideas and inspirations that have been bubbling inside me.”
The Grammy nominee previously announced the residency live on On Air With Ryan Seacrest, revealing the 16-show stint will transport fans into another reality. "The Xperience" will debut at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood on May 31st and promises a multi-sensory performance with tons of visual effects, wardrobe changes, and of course, all of Xtina’s incredible music from throughout her career.
Did I just cry to @xtina's performance of 'Beautiful'? .....Maybe.

“It’s an opportunity to put on a mask and be whoever you want to be, or take one off and play,” Xtina teased during the Q+A with Elle, revealing she hopes to allow fans a night of escape and to connect with their inner-freedom and fantasy.
The songstress — who also opened up about her childhood and courageous collaboration with Demi Lovato “Fall In Line," among other candid topics — expressed she wanted to prioritize her role as mom before returning to the road and stage.
Wow @xtina just got DEEP telling us why “Maria” means so much to her. 😍😍 #iHeartXtina pic.twitter.com/bFICBsQBnS

“I have yet to take the trip [to Vegas] and actually sort that part of it out, so we’re a little late in the game,” she said of where they’ll live. “But we will be going back and forth for sure — kids need their own routine and my life can’t be too much of theirs. … I’m very protective of them and their time and … making sure they’re not eaten alive by my world. … When I’m home, it’s very mom-hat … and not glitter lipstick, … I keep the mom side very separate. … It’s a priority, … I have my artist hat and my mama bear hat.”
