Gisele Bündchen Just Revealed Why She and Leonardo DiCaprio Broke Up

As Super Bowl LII quickly approaches, it's hard to imagine that there was a time when super model Gisele Bundchen and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady were not madly in love. Over a decade ago, though, Gisele was one half of another "it couple" when she dated Leonardo Dicaprio. Neither Gisele or Leo has ever spoken about their split. Well, until now, that is.

In a new interview with Porter magazine, which was meant to promote her book Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, Gisele revealed the shocking reason she and Leo called it quits all those years ago. "No longer numbing myself with smoking, drinking and too much work, I was becoming more and more aware of things that I’d chosen not to look at," she explained.

“Was I alone in wanting to do some serious soul-searching while he stayed the same? In the end, unfortunately, the answer was yes," she continued. After doing said soul-searching, Gisele ultimately decided the relationship was not working for her. Not long after, she met her now-husband. After ten years of marriage, the two share two children together. Leo, now 44-years-old, is currently dating 21-year-old model Camila Morrone. Gisele and Leo were together for five years.

As Gisele gets ready to watch her husband play in his ninth Super Bowl, it seems unlikely that she has any regrets.
