Jussie Smollett Labels Himself the 'Gay Tupac' After Surviving Attack

Actor and singer Jussie Smollett has returned to his music gracefully, just a week following his brutal attack in Chicago, this will be his first performance since the incident. Smollett took the stage at West Hollywood's Troubadour Club where he tearfully set the record straight to his fans.
According to CNN, Smollett told his fans "I'm not fully healed yet," said Smollett, but I'm going to be, and I'm gonna stand strong with y'all." Smollett was visibly swollen after two men allegedly attacked him, poured what appeared to be bleach on him and draped a noose around his neck while shouting racist and homophobic slurs in Chicago on Tuesday.
"I don't even care to name any names," he stated. His unidentified attackers were said to have mentioned the 'MAGA' line while attacking the Empire actor. "The hateful rhetoric that gets passed around, it has to stop. But guess what, it stops with the people that believe in love."
He also clarified his ribs were bruised, but not cracked and he was medically cleared to perform for his 300 guests in attendance. His powerful closing message showcased his strength as he definatlyIn his powerful closing message he stated, "I had to be here tonight, y'all. I couldn't let those motherf--kers win,I will always stand for love. I will only stand for love."
He added that he refused to be a victim.
"Above all, I fought the f--k back,I'm the gay Tupac." he stated before closing out the show.
