Aaron Lewis of Staind was performing a special acoustic set in Texas that was cut short after the crowd refused to quiet down.
At the end of Lewis' show he attempted to have a special moment in the crowd that needed total silence. "I need five minutes, that's it, that's it. Just five minutes, but I need you to be quieter than you have all night or else you aren't gonna hear it," said Lewis. According to Loudwire , Lewis was trying to perform a song without the mic and was asking for "church silence" from the crowd.
After asking multiple times for the crowd to be quiet, and them refusing, he exited the stage without ever performing the song.
Aaron Lewis in PharrOne attendee of Saturday night's Aaron Lewis concert in Pharr provided this video, in which he can be heard saying around the 1:44 mark, "I'm sorry, I don't know how to speak Spanish. I'm American," in response to people shouting to speak to them in Spanish. Though attempting to quiet concertgoers, Lewis' remarks only provoked more crowd noise before he eventually walked off stage.
