Wells Fargo customers found themselves unable to use the bank's online services or their debit cards Thursday morning. It's the second time in the last month that customers have had an issue accessing the bank's online system.
Users reported began experiencing the issue around 3:30 a.m. PT.
"We apologize to our customers who may be experiencing an issue with our online banking and mobile app. Thanks for your patience while we research this issue. If you are impacted, please check back here for updates," Wells Fargo wrote.

Wells Fargo tweeted an update shortly before 10 a.m. PT saying that a power shutdown at one of their facilities was initiated after smoke was detected after routine maintenance. The bank said they were working to restore services to customers as soon as possible.
Thursday's outage was the second time this month that Wells Fargo has experienced a technical fault that prevented customers from logging into their online accounts. Over the last year, the bank has had to deal with a series of scandals, including admitting that its workers created as many as 3.5 million fake accounts to meet sales goals. Last April, Wells Fargo was handed a $1 billion fine from the federal government for inappropriately charging customers hundreds of thousands of dollars for car insurance they didn't need.
Customers trying to access Wells Fargo online were greeted with a message saying the site was experiencing some technical difficulties.
People took to Twitter to complain about being unable to access the bank's website.
