'A Star Is Born' Is Returning To Theaters With New Music & Unseen Footage

A Star Is Born is coming back to theaters with rare footage and new music.

On Wednesday (February 27), Warner Bros. announced a one-week rerelease of the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper starrer, expected to return to more than 1,150 movie theaters with 12 minutes of unseen moments as well as an unheard song from the Academy Award-winning musical drama.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 2018 film's theatric reprisal comes in the wake of Gaga's winning the honor for Best Original Song at the 2019 Oscars for "Shallow." The movie garnered eight total nominations at the awards ceremony, including for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Following its release in October 2018, the Cooper-directed flick upwards of $425 million at the global box office. Additionally, the project received myriad awards including five nominations and the Best Original Song ("Shallow") prize at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards.

The "encore" edition of A Star is Born, slated to re-enter theaters this Friday (March 1), will feature extended performances of tracks "Black Eyes" and "Alibi," as well as Gaga's a cappella version of "Shallow."

Watchers can also anticipate more scenes between Ally (Gaga) and Jack (Cooper), including those of Ally serenading Jack with "Is That Alright?" during the movie's wedding sequence; Jack's studio performance of "Too Far Gone"; and the couple writing a new record called "Clover."
