Dido Says New Album 'Still On My Mind' Was The Easiest LP She's Ever Made

Come Friday (March 8), Dido will release her brand-new album, Still On My Mind, a project that followed in her tradition of working with her longterm collaborator and brother (Faithless founder) Rollo.
"For me, music has always been this sort of family thing," the 47-year-old star recently told NRP. "And I realized, very clearly that I just didn't really want to do it if it wasn't with him this time. I just had a real need to do that and go back to the basics, where I'm just hanging out with my brother and we make some music. It actually didn't take very much time. I would say it's definitely been the easiest record I've ever made." Dido went on to explain that her tie with her sibling is almost essential to her creative process. "I think when I work with him, we're hearing the same thing, we're seeing the same thing, and our values are the same," she continued. "We both just feel really lucky to be making the music that we want to make, unashamedly using whatever sounds and thoughts we want to use, and still being able to do that."
Still On My Mind follows the release of 2013's Girl Who Got Away and has spawned lead single, "Give You Up." If you want even more from Dido, make sure you check her out on tour later this year. Expected to play classics like "Thank You," "Here With Me," "White Flag" and "Life For Rent," the singer/songwriter is also planning to introduce her fans to the long-awaited material on her new album. The upcoming world tour begins in Europe on May 5 in Prague and wraps up at London's Roundhouse on May 30. From there, it's scheduled to kick off in North America immediately in June.
