Man Planting Plant In Garden

Police in Germany believe that a gardener who was found dead in his home was responsible for setting up booby traps that killed one person and left two others injured. When officers found the body of 59-year-old Bernhard Graumann at his house the western German city of Mehlingen, they discovered gunpowder and other items that were "in violation of weapons and explosives laws."

Authorities say that Graumann was responsible for planting a bomb outside the home of a doctor who was killed the same day that police Graumann's found body. Two days later, a booby-trapped piece of firewood exploded in the home of a family, sending a woman and her daughter to the hospital.

Officials said that both the doctor and the family had a "bad relationship" with the Graumann and advised anybody else who had issues with him to be cautious and contact authorities immediately. In just two days, a tip line they set up received over 60 calls relating to the case.

Investigators did not say how Graumann died and are awaiting the results of the autopsy.
