Walk The Moon Covers Adele's 'Someone Like You': Watch

By Katrina Nattress

March 7, 2019

A couple weeks ago, Walk The Moon gave an explosive (pun intended) performance of "Timebomb" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, but apparently that wasn't the only song the quartet played while visiting the studio. On Monday (March 4), the show shared a video of the indie pop group covering Adele's hit song "Someone Like You" as part of its "Cover Room" series. And they kind of nail it.

Though the band has a knack for writing danceworthy bops, frontman Nicholas Petricca and the rest of the group show off their harmonizing chops as they begin the song a cappella. About 40 seconds in, drummer Sean Waugaman turns on a drum machine, while Kevin Ray and Eli Maiman start playing acoustic guitars. It truly is a beautiful rendition, and shows an unexpectedly soft side of a band thats known for its energy.
