Although the lineup has not officially been released for Woodstock 2019, sources have given Variety some insider info about who to expect for the 50th anniversary event, and it’s safe to say the three-day festival will have a little something for everyone.
Dead & Co. will be bringing the nostalgia factor, while Black Keys, Jay-Z and Chance the Rapper are all said to be headlining. The Raconteurs, Imagine Dragons, Run the Jewels, Gary Clark Jr., Cage the Elephant, the Killers, Greta Van Fleet, Margo Price, Sturgill Simpson, Portugal the Man, Dawes, the Lumineers, Bishop Briggs, Pussy Riot, Courtney Barnett and Dorothy are all also slated to perform, though that could change by the time the official lineup gets announced. Halsey, Miley Cyrus, Janelle Monae and Brandi Carlile are also reportedly finalizing their commitments.
“We are thrilled with all the excitement about Woodstock 50, but we have an obligation to our fans, artists and partners, to do things the right way,” Woodstock co-founder Michael Lang said in a statement. “We are in the final stages of laying the groundwork and can’t wait to stage this once-in-a-lifetime event. We’ll be officially announcing the lineup and ticket on-sale soon, stay tuned!”
Woodstock 50 is going down August 16-18 at Watkins Glen, New York.
