Kate Middleton Just Revealed Princess Charlotte's Cute Nickname

On a recent visit to Northern Ireland, Kate Middleton let slip a never-before-heard fact about her 4-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte. While speaking with a Belfast-based mom named Laura-Ann, the Duchess of Sussex revealed Charlotte's cute nickname. Princess Charlotte is a bit formal for a 4-year-old, after all.
Laura-Ann introduced her son, George, to Kate at Windsor Park Stadium. Kate, of course, loved the little boy's name, of course. “Hi George, what a cool name you’ve got, and you look very smart in your bow tie. It’s very nice to meet you,” the Duchess sweetly told him. When Laura-Ann informed Kate that her son was also 4-years-old, Kate said he was the same age as “Lottie!"
Princess Charlotte (aka Lottie) isn't the only Cambridge kid with a surprising nickname. Her older brother, Prince George, recently revealed he actually goes by Archie while out on a walk with his maternal grandmother, Carole Middleton. Spotted by a passing dog-walker, the young prince started chatting her up and playing with her pup.
"I was asked by a police minder not to take a photo of the children, which I didn’t, but George started stroking my dog," the anonymous woman told The Sun. "Just to be friendly I engaged in a bit of small talk and I asked George what his name was, even though obviously I knew it. To my astonishment, he said 'I’m called Archie' with a big smile on his face."
Archie isn't the only nickname George has on record, either. According toThe Daily Mail, (short for Prince George) at school. This nickname reportedly caught on and his parents started calling him PG Tips, which was the shortened to Tips, after the popular tea brand. Kate has been known to dotingly refer to Charlotte as 'Poppet' from time to time, as well.
