Arkansas police have released video footage from an officer-involved shooting that shows the officer jumping onto the hood of a stolen car and firing 15 shots through the windshield as the driver continues to move forward.
Little Rock Police Officer Charles Starks was responding to a call about a stolen car and confronted 30-year-old Bradley Blackshire at gunpoint, ordering him to step out of the vehicle.
Blackshire refused to listen to Starks' commands and slowly began to drive away, striking Starks, who fired four shots into the car. Starks then moved in front of the vehicle and Blackshire accelerated forward, forcing Starks onto the hood of the car. Starks continued to fire through the windshield.
Another officer responded and crashed his police SUV into the stolen car, ending the terrifying ordeal. Blackshire was pronounced dead at the scene while Starks suffered an injury to his leg.
Starks surrendered his badge and gun and was placed on paid administrative leave while officials complete an internal investigation into the shooting.
