A St. Tammany Parish sheriff's deputy is facing drug charges and has been fired from his job.

Authorities say 36-year-old Terry Cederholm, II was booked yesterday on a felony charge of possession of a Schedule IV controlled dangerous substance. He's also facing two misdemeanor counts of possession of a legend drug without a prescription.

Cederholm had worked for the sheriff's office for about seven years.
