Gigi Hadid Slams 'Mean' Commentary On A Fan Post, But Users Are Confused

It's pretty clear that a lot of context gets lots when it comes to fitting thoughts onto Twitter feeds and it seems like Gigi Hadid might have fallen victim to the blurred lines.

On Wednesday (March 27), a fan shared a photo of her cousins meeting Hadid on the beach after a photoshoot. "Tell me why my cousins just met," @lovingmyzjm teased in the message without any mention (or tags) of the star. Some hours later, the 23-year-old star got wind of the post and hopped into the thread to call out the user for her "negative" commentary about her looks. "Woww ... this thread .. Out of context and styling from the shoot , and after wrapping shooting in the sun for 12 hours in a wig, this look wasn’t my best moment to take a pic w fans," she said in a message, before admitting that she had thought about her appearance when she decided to take the photo, but did it anyways.

"It bums me out that there's people like you who function on an intelligence level that would look beyond the nice experience I had with your sweet fam & turn that into such a negative and mean train of thought," she continued. "Your tweets don’t make me ugly gurrl , they make u."

Many were confused as to why Hadid directed her anger at the user when she didn't say anything bad in the original post, but it's worth noting that the user had shared a number of subtle tweets about Hadid looking unrecognizable, before giving away Hadid's identity. Perhaps, that is why the supermodel directed her attention to the user. Either way, you can scroll down below to see the entire thread and make the judgement for yourself.
