Disney World is introducing a tasty new treat for adult park-goers. If you're so over the crowds on the weekends (and over 21), head over to Disney Springs for brunch at Wine Bar George. This past Saturday (March 30), the restaurant launched "wine country brunch," which will serve Dole Whip Mimosas. Yup, you read that right. The beloved Disney dessert is being turned into an Instagram-able brunch cocktail. Yum!
For those not well-versed in all things Disney World, Dole Whip is pineapple soft serve that's been a must-have treat in the parks since the '80s. As Disney World continues to become more of a foodie destination, Dole Whip has popped up on menus across the parks in many different ways. From Dole Whip upside down cake to doughnuts, there's a multitude of ways to satisfy your pineapple cravings.
Now, Dole Whip fans will be able to try yet another iteration of the fan favorite treat. Wine Bar George's mimosa is made with pineapple juice, moscato and prosecco. Sounds good, right?
According to Disney Food Blog, Wine Country Brunch will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m.-3:00p.m. and the menu will offer starters, boards, main plates, sweets, sides, and cocktails. The Dole Whip Mimosa isn't the only menu item to get excited for, either. Wine Country Brunch will offer delicious omelets, a cheese board with six artisanal cheeses, brioche french toast and crispy mac and cheese bites.
Another exciting addition to Disney World's expanding dining options is the addition of the Baton Rouge Beignets aka Boozy Beignets at the Port Orleans French Quarter resort. They're offered at Scat Cat's Lounge and the classic pillow-shaped Beignets are complete with your choice of Baileys, Kahlua, or Rumchata to inject into the flaky dough. A year after boozy beignets made their debut at the most magical place on Earth, Disney Food Blog reported that there's now a secret menu version of the tasty treat: Godiva chocolate liqueur is now an option.
