Residents in an El Paso, Texas neighborhood woke up to a sticky situation on Wednesday (April 3) morning after a spill at a nearby soda plant flooded the streets with several inches of Coca-Cola. Authorities were forced to shut down the roads while cleanup crews used dirt and sand to try to soak up the soda and stop it from spreading further.
Some of the sugary sludge seeped into residents' yards, causing a major headache for homeowners, who had a hard time getting out of their driveways and were forced to clean up the mess themselves.
The soda was so sticky that a bird became stuck after landing in the sludge and had to be rescued a Good Samaritan.
