Ever since Lori Loughlin's alleged involvement in the college cheating scandal became public, people have been combing her influencer daughter Olivia Jade's YouTube channel for hints about what was going on behind the scenes. So far, clips of Olivia claiming she only went to college for the parties and that she missed so much class in high school her peers wouldn't recognize her have gone viral. In another unearthed video, Olivia reveals a warning her parents gave her that now seems pretty ironic: you only get one reputation.
In a Vlog titled "sorry mom & dad..." Olivia recounts the rebellious phase she went through at age 16. She reveals she used to sneak out of the house to meet up with her boyfriend. “I don’t know how I didn’t get caught for [sneaking out],” Olivia says. “I’m lucky I’m alive. Really, their only thing for me was about safety, ‘don’t Uber by yourself’, ‘be classy’, ‘you only get one reputation.'” Yikes!
“Yeah, glad I listened to them,” the now 19-year-old continued. “I think I came out decent. I just make my parents sound like they don’t keep tabs on me. I promise I’ve been in trouble plenty of times.”
Olivia has been laying low since the scandal became public and has lost a number of lucrative brand partnerships, including a beauty collaborations with Sephora. “Olivia is still distraught and embarrassed. She hasn’t been home much,” a source told People. “She is very angry with her parents. She just wants to figure out how she can rebuild her brand.”
Though she once heeded her parents advice, she now reportedly blames them for everything that went down. “She would have never gone along with it if she thought this would happen. Her thing is that she trusted her parents,” the source continued. “She didn’t care if she got into USC. She just wanted to focus on her business. She feels that she worked very hard for something that she loves, and she has no idea what will happen with her business in the future.”
Olivia dropped out of USC shortly after the story broke. Her mother faces five years behind bars for the scandal.
