A New Jersey dentist plans to fix the Playboy Easter bunny display he set up on the front yard of his office after an angry neighbor destroyed it. 37-year-old Desiree Shepstone, who lives near Wayne Gangi's dentist office in Clifton, grabbed a pair of garden shears and started cutting down the five mannequins, which were dressed in lingerie and fishnet stockings, in front of a news crew that was filming a segment on the controversial decorations.
Shepstone claims she took down the display because she did not want her 16-year-old son to see the scantily-dressed mannequins as he walked to school.
PIX 11 reporter Andrew Ramos asked Shepstone if she was worried about getting in trouble for destroying the holiday-themed display and she told him, "No, I think it would be worth it.”
On Wednesday (April 10), police said they mailed her a summons for destroying the mannequins.
Gangi plans to rebuild the display and hopes to have it back up by the end of the week. He also filed a restraining order against Shepstone and intends to be in the courtroom when she faces a judge.
