New Politics Are Back With Resilient Anthem 'Comeback Kid'

It's been over a year since New Politics released their fourth studio album Lost In Translation, but the wait for new music is over. On Friday (April 19), the trio released a new single, "Comeback Kid." The resilient track sees vocalist David Boyd vow to get back up every time an obstacle gets in his way, as he sings "You can knock me out You can knock me out/ You can hold me down You can hold me down/ I’m a comeback kid I’m a comeback kid," in the chorus before encouraging listeners to "Keep on keepin’ on go stronger/ When you feel weak go harder and harder and harder!"

“Writing 'Comeback Kid' couldn’t have come at a more perfect time for us," Boyd reveals. "I feel the message of the song might not be anything new, it's something we’ve all heard before. But it’s a reminder and a truth everyone needs in their life. If you’re playing a game, if you’re in a relationship or hustling at work, life is a roller coaster of wins and losses, but you must maintain the will and the courage to bounce back.”
