Dramatic video out of Long Beach, California shows a homeowner confronting a suspected porch pirate who was caught rifling through the woman's mailbox.

Shirah Booker says her Ring doorbell camera alerted her to a woman rifling through her mailbox and when she stepped outside to confront the suspect, she had to wrestle an envelope back from the woman, and chase her off the property.

"I got a second chime that someone was coming up to my doorbell and by that time, I was like, ‘Wait a minute, this looks kind of suspect … something’s happening.’ And when I saw her grab the letter, I thought, ‘Oh, yeah. This is happening. This is going down, let’s go,’" Booker told CBS 2.

Booker says after taking extensive self-defense training, she felt she had an edge when it came to dealing with the would-be thief.

"For the most part I think of myself as calm, cool and collected, but sometimes you do gotta get a little Rice Krispy, and snap, crackle and pop," the mother of three told reporters. "Because people just need to know you're not the one to mess with.

Booker also posted on social media to anyone else who might think about stealing from her mailbox: "You may wanna think twice about stealing from my house. Just FYI -- I see everything!"
