Family first. Offset shared one of the greatest moments of his life to Instagram on Friday (April 26) — his reunion with his father after 23 long years.

"DREAMS DO COME TRUE HAVENT SEEN MY FATHER IN 23 YEARS !!!!!! " he captioned the emotional Instagram video that showed him and his pops holding each other close during a long embrace. "AND I STILL LOVE HIM THE PAST IS THE PAST AND THE PRESENT IS ALL WE HAVE TO RELY ON WE NOT PERFECT IN ANY SHAPE OR FORM I LOVE YOU POPS !!! NO MATTER WHAT!!!!"

Offset continued to share his feelings about the heartwarming reunion on Instagram, later captioning a picture of him and his dad kneeling in a similar pose, "WE SOO MUCH ALIKE IT SCARY UNITED AS ONE."

As fans know, Offset's life-changing moment comes a few months after he released his debut studio album Father of 4. It was while he was on a promo tour for the project that he revealed on "The Breakfast Club" he hadn't seen his father since he was 4-years-old. Adding they hadn't even talked to each other since 2016, but, he'd love to reconcile with him.

The Migos rapper went into further detail about their past issues to Esquire, telling the mag his dad "got into the streets."

“I had paper and I couldn’t wait to tell him,” he said of the last time they spoke on the phone in 2016. However, their conversation didn't go as planned when Offset asked his father where he was living so he could bring him some cash, and his dad admitted he didn’t have a stable address and he couldn’t accept his son’s help out any way of a sense of pride.

“It just started to make me upset. I've reached out and you've slapped my hand," Offset explained. "You slapped my hand when it wasn't even out. You didn't even come back to put anything in my hand. So now I feel like you don't have any respect for me. You’re still running and you don't have to."

Time really can heal all wounds.
