A 21-year-old Marvel fan was rushed to the hospital after seeing Avengers: Endgame.
Marvel fan, Xiao Li (pseudonym given) was rushed to the ER by her friends in Ningbo, China after "crying too hard while watching Avengers: Endgame.' The doctors said the 21-year-old was having trouble breathing and her hands were twitching. Doctors say this was likely caused by non-stop crying and gasping.
China was the first country to premiere the Marvel film and Xiao Li was one of the lucky fans to be able to watch the midnight premiere. Allegedly she was crying non-stop throughout the movie. '[After we] observed her symptoms, we believed she had been crying and gasping too much, which led to shortness of breath,' said Dr. Yuan Liyan who treated Xiao Li. Dr. Yuan said they gave Xiao Li oxygen therapy and put a mask on her face. Xiao Li's condition did improve shortly after.
'Avengers: Endgame,' crushed it's opening global weekend box office at $1.2 billion. If you haven't seen the movie yet.. you might want to buy a box of tissues when you buy your ticket.
