Chvrches is the latest indie outfit to team up with Marshmello; however, the Scottish trio does not condone the DJ's latest collaborative project with Chris Brown and Tyga, who both have a history of domestic and sexual abuse, and let their thoughts be known. Since voicing their disappoint with the producer's choice to work with the rappers, both Brown and Tyga have responded—with the controversial R&B star commenting "BUNCH OF LOSERS. these are the type of people I wish walked in front of a speeding bus full of mental patients" on the band's Instagram post.

Brown's fans are now following suit, threatening the band, namely singer Lauren Mayberry, to the point where they've upped security at their shows.

"I am not staying in my own home when we finish tour because the threats we have received have reached such a scale," Mayberry tweeted earlier this week. "We have to have the police at our shows now. If that’s what I deserve for saying mainstream music should be more morally conscious, then so be it."

She also gave a speech to the crowd at Fortress Festival in Texas to explain why she went after Brown in the first place, and the backlash she's received since. Check out her post and watch her speech below.
