Paula Abdul managed to captivate the 2019 Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday night (May 1) with a six-minute medley featuring some of her biggest hits of the past like "Straight Up," "Opposites Attract," "Cold Hearted" and "Forever Your Girl." Among the captivated included Julianne Hough, who was accidentally hit during Abdul's hat toss mid-performance.

While the moment spread like wildfire on social media, the 30-year-old star took to Twitter to share a photo of her sitting in a chair wearing what looked like a neck brace and offered two thumbs up to the camera. "The result of the honor of being hit in the neck by @PaulaAbdul’s flying hat!" she captioned the shot, adding, "Love you, babe!!! #BBMAs." Meanwhile, Abdul's response was nothing short of comedic. "OMG IM PEEING MY PANTS!!!!! You know it was with love," she responded. Scroll on below to watch the performance!

Abdul's performance served as a promotional platform for her just-announced Las Vegas residency, "Paula Abdul: Forever Your Girl," which kicks off August 13. Tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday at 10 AM. "I love telling stories through music and dance, and engaging with the audience," the former American Idol judge said while announcing the show. "I'm taking the essence of the classic choreography that has become part of my legacy and I want to have a real experience with the audience so they leave knowing me a bit more."
