Scrabble has approved of a trans-inclusive expansion for its game play, marking their first update since 2015.

As per The New York Times, the international Scrabble dictionary has approved words like "ze," "bae" and a batch of other terms as part of their 2,800 addition to the game. While terms like "agender," "transphobia," "cisgender" and "genderqueer" are now up for play, the inclusion of "ze" could prove to be quite the upper hand for hopeful players. "Whoever draws the Z tile is going to have a huge advantage," John Chew, the co-president of the North American Scrabble Players Association said, detailing that this will be the third two-letter "z" word added to their game since the early 1990s.

Scrabble's new additions to their game reportedly comes after the 2018 approval of a number of these words to the Merriam-Webster dictionary. Back in April, "stan" was also added to its dictionary as both a noun and a verb. Citing Eminem's 2000 smash, "Stan," as the origin of the word, the term was directed defined as an extremely or excessively enthusiastic and devoted fan. Its listed examples, particularly as a verb, were amusing, to say the least. "I stanned pretty hard for Christina [Aguilera] as a teen; I remember begging my mom for tickets to the Justified/Stripped tour, and even from our nosebleed seats, Christina's voice was stunning," one example outlined. "Stan" served as one of 640 new additions, which also included "snowflake," "swole" and "EGOT."
