21 Savage is bringing the tracks from his freshest album on the road.
On Tuesday (May 7), the rapper announced he'll be traveling this summer as part of his "I Am > I Was Tour." Rising hip-hop star DaBaby will also perform all except three shows on the "A Lot" star's mini-jaunt, which translates into "I am greater than I was." 21's latest trek, lasting from July 10 to August 16, kicks off at The Criterion in Oklahoma City, with additional stops concerts in cities such as Phoenix, Los Angeles, Portland, Chicago, and Detroit among others.
The 26-year-old unveiled his sophomore project, I Am > I Was, in December 2018. The record spawned two singles, "A Lot" and "Monster." He released the music video for the former track just days before 21 was arrested by ICE on February 3 for allegedly staying in the U.S. illegally. He was released weeks later after posting bond. It was also speculated a verse in the record was what incited his detainment.
Tickets for the general public go on sale this Friday (May 10) via at 10 a.m. local time. (More details here.)
