Offset may have been the target of a drive-by shooting on Wednesday night (May 8), TMZ reports.
According to the entertainment news site, the Atlanta studio where the "Clout" rapper was recording got attacked with bullets. Witnesses reportedly told law enforcement officials that Offset was there recording when the shots were fired into the building. However, when police arrived, "Offset was long gone." One eyewitness claimed the Migos rapper may have been the target of the shooting. However, as of Thursday afternoon (May 9), authorities had not spoken to Offset to get his side of the story.
As for the shooting itself, shots were reportedly fired at the building around 9:00 p.m. by passengers in a passing vehicle. The bullets damaged three cars that were in the parking lot, as well as the recording studio's exterior window. An apartment window was also damaged. While cops received one report of someone getting shot in the leg, officers were unable to locate a victim, TMZ reports.
Sources told the site that the drive-by went down shortly after Offset went outside to relax for a few moments. When the gunshots rang out, "people inside the studio rushed into another room for cover until things calmed down."
