Ric Flair was rushed to a hospital due to a "very serious" medical emergency, TMZ Sports reported Thursday morning.
According to reports, the 70-year-old professional wrestler was in Atlanta and had to be taken to an emergency room to be treated.
Further details on Flair's condition were not released, but sourced told TMZ that the situation was "very serious."
However, according to pro wrestling podcaster Conrad Thompson, the situation was not as dire as TMZ makes it out to be. Thompson suggests Flair was undergoing a previously planned procedure before an event in Las Vegas.
He stated that Flair and the family knew the procedure was coming and he could have had it before or after Vegas, and wanted to feel good for Starrcast

Flair has had health issues in the past. In 2017, his intestine ruptured and doctors had to place him in a medically induced coma for 11 days. Flair pulled through and went on to marry his longtime girlfriend, who stuck by his side when he was sick and his recovery.
