Maren Morris brought real-life romance to her stage set on Saturday (May 25) when she invited husband Ryan Hurd to her show for a live performance of "Great Ones."
For the "Girl: The World Tour" appearance in Leeds, UK, the 29-year-old surprised the crowd with Hurd with a rendition of the album cut, which was co-written by the pair. "You just fell out of the sky/ The best things come when you don't even try/ Lighting in a bottle doesn't happen twice/ The kind of gospel that saves you just in time/ The myth of me and you is fiction turned to truth/ Most loves don't make it through/ But the great ones do," the two crooned during the chorus. As you might have expected, the romantic duet prompted a bit of on-stage PDA from the pair as they held hands while singing the sweet tune.
Just a few days earlier, Hurd surprised the chart-topper in Dublin by showing up unannounced. "This morning, I thought someone from the hotel didn’t see my 'Do Not Disturb' sign, but it was this guy coming to surprise me for the weekend!" the singer captioned an Instagram post of the pair. Morris is currently wrapping up the international leg of the trek and is scheduled to return to the United States to finish the venture in November.
Morris and Hurd started dating in December 2015 after meeting in 2013 during a songwriting session. They went on to become engaged in July 2017 and married each other in March 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee.
