Lil Durk is a wanted man.
According to TMZ, a warrant has been issued for the "No Label" rapper's arrest in connection with a February shooting. The Atlanta Police Department told the entertainment news site, the rapper is facing five felony charges — including criminal intent to commit murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and another charge of associating with a criminal street gang to participate in a crime.
The 26-year-old rapper, born Durk Banks, addressed his arrest warrant on Wednesday (May 29) night. "Turning myself in tomorrow," he wrote on Instagram alongside a sad face emoji.
As for the shooting, cops told TMZ officers responded to reports of a person shot around 5:45 am on February 5 at a restaurant in Atlanta called The Varsity. They reportedly "found a man suffering from a gunshot wound," and "recovered 13 shell casings from a rifle and pistol at the scene" along with a firearm. The shooting victim was rushed to a hospital where they underwent surgery and survived. Cops claim they "spoke to two witnesses and were told the victim appeared to be in a verbal dispute with an unknown black male before the shooting." And since authorities say "they've reviewed surveillance footage," it appears Durk is the primary suspect.
They are reportedly still investigating the incident.
