Judas Priest In Concert At The Palms

Judas Priest front man Rob Halford recently gave a fan the boot during a recent performance in Rosemont, Illinois.

As far as we can tell, the fan wasn't ejected, but his phone sure was.

Halford got frustrated with a fan's incessant filming of him last week and did something about it. Viral video shows The Metal God backing up, taking aim and literally punting the phone clean out of the fan's hand, sending the device sailing into the rows behind him.

*Warning: If you weren't expecting any Judas Priest puns in this article, You've Got Another Thing Coming.

You can watch Halford Swinging (his foot) For Vengeance in the video player below. The Dissident Aggressor issued a statement about his actions to Loudwire on Thursday, and he's not apologizing for Delivering The Goods.

"THE FACTS ARE WE LOVE OUR FANS AND YOU CAN FILM US ALL YOU LIKE AND WATCH OUR SHOW ON YOUR PHONE RATHER THAN IN THE FLESH. HOWEVER IF YOU PHYSICALLY INTERFERE WITH THE METAL GOD'S PERFORMANCE YOU NOW KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN," Halford said.

The video clearly shows several fans shooting video when Halford takes a swing at the fan's Electric Eye. So why single out the one?

Other fans that witnessed the incident say the offending fan's flashlight had been on — shining in the frontman's eyes — for the duration of the show. Judas Priest was performing "Judas Rising" — six or seven songs into its set — when this occurred.

It definitely sucks for the fan whose device was punted — hopefully the phone was returned — but You Don't Have To Be Old To Be Wise, and not shining a light in someone's eyes for almost a half hour is just common sense.
