See The Trailer For 'The Quiet One' Doc On Ex-Rolling Stone Bill Wyman

A new documentary focuses on longtime Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman.

The Quiet One explores Wyman's significant place in the history rock and roll, as well as his unique path away from the stage.

Wyman joined the Rolling Stones in 1962 and anchored the band on bass until the early-'90s, appearing on the Stones' most beloved albums and most legendary live shows.

The bassist is seven years older than his next oldest former band mate, and he never showed the same interest in drug and alcohol abuse. Wyman always seemed more than happy to let his band mates have the spotlight, too — after all, they were much easier to photograph that way.

While Wyman was rarely the subject of interviews during his music career, he documented his entire time with the Stones in photos and short film clips. It may be that no one on Earth knows The Rolling Stones' story better that Wyman.

"It is all a haze to me," admits Keith Richards in an archival clip from the trailer. "If I want to know what I did in those year, I have to ask Bill Wyman."

Some of Wyman's work was published in his 2002 book, Rolling With The Stones, but now a much more private vault is being released in the form of The Quiet One documentary, which hits theaters June 21.

The film contains new interviews with Eric Clapton, early-Stones producer Andrew Loog Oldham, Bob Geldof, producer Glynn Johns and Mary Wilson of The Supremes.
