Coffee sign

Most people can barely function without their daily cup of coffee. Java not only gives them a little pep in their step, but it wakes them up and helps them focus better. Well someone posted to Reddit an optical illusion with a sign for coffee, and most people will need to have had their morning joe to be able to see what's going on in it. There isn't much to the photo, just a sign of the word "coffee" hanging on a wall, presumably at a cafe somewhere. However, if you look a little bit closer you'll notice something is strangely off with the image. Do you see it?

While the sign is fine, the shadow under it shows something else - somehow just the shadow is misspelling the word coffee. Instead of "coffee" the shadow shows "cofee."

Although many commenters were sure this was the work of a wizard or magician, as always, science had a more realistic solution. If you look above the sign you'll see there are two lights and it's the positions of the lights that cause the effect. One person explained, "The lights are equally spaced so the shadows of each F at an angle blend together," and another went so far as to make a graphic to help people understand what's going on:

If that doesn't make sense to you, maybe have a little more coffee and then revisit it.
