Fans React To Sam Hunt's Big News

Late last night, Sam Hunt posted a mysterious countdown clock on his Instagram story that had fans really excited for a big announcement today. The countdown clock only included emojis of a house, mic, beer and cowboy, with a countdown to 5:30pm eastern today. Generally speaking, when artists post a countdown clock on their Instagram stories, they are getting ready to announce something major.

Once the countdown hit zero, the big reveal was made. Drum roll please. Sam Hunt is playing a show in Calgary on September 19th. Whah-Whah-Whah.

Obviously, his fans were extremely disappointed in the news, because they were hoping it was going to be new music. It's been over a year since the singer has put out a new single, and over 3 1/2 years since his last album was released. We aren't going to hate on Sam too much for the announcement, because he's not personally been active on social media the last couple of years, so this is likely something that his management decided to post.

Either way, many of those disappointed fans took to twitter to share their thoughts about the announcement, and plead their case for Sam to release new music soon.
