Jennifer Lopez Delivers Beautiful Tribute To Selena During Texas Concert

During Jennifer Lopez's recent San Antonio, Texas concert, the "Medicine" singer made sure to pay tribute to the late Queen of Tejano music, Selena Quintanilla-Pérez — who she portrayed in the 1997 Selena biopic — while in the singer's home state. "When in Texas, got to do it like Selena!" Jennifer captioned a video of her singing a cover of Selena's 1994 song “Si Una Vez." "Thank you so much Texas!! What a run!!! #ItsMyPartyTour #SelenaForever #SiUnaVez."

As fans know, Selena — filmed two years after the beloved singer's tragic murder — launched Jennifer's acting career, and even scored her a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as the late singer.

Before Jennifer's San Antonio show, she shared a side-by-side throwback video of her almost perfectly reenacting a previous Selena performance, shown in the 1997 Selena biopic. "Whenever I get to Texas I remember the beautiful time I spent here doing the movie Selena!! See you tonight San Antonio!! #selenaforever#selenaappreciationpost#channelingmyinnerselena#Iloveyouselena#itsmypartytour," Jennifer captioned the Twitter video.

As fans know, Jenn is currently on her "It's My Party Tour." While her recent Selena tribute wasn't the first time she's performed "Si Una Vez" on her tour, it was incredibly special as it marked her final show in the great state of Texas after she'd performed four consecutive shows in San Antonio, Edinburgh, Dallas and Houston.

The "It's My Party Tour" will wrap up its North American leg in July before going intercontinental in August.
