Selena Gomez is not happy with how the hundreds of migrant children are being treated at U.S. Border Patrol facilities and she took to Instagram to sound off on the hot topic.

"Kids in cages! Sleeping on concrete floors with aluminum blankets! No access to simple dignities! How is this still happening???" the 26-year-old star wrote in a post of the immigration troubles at the border of the U.S. and Mexico. "It’s absolutely inhumane to treat anyone like this let alone children. I can’t even imagine what they are going through. We need to get this to finally stop!" Gomez went on to encourage her followers to contact representatives to speak up for the children, who are being separated from their families and living in cages created with metal fencing. "Don’t stay silent on this human rights issue," she continued. "Please call your reps 202.224.3121 #CloseTheCamps #FamilesBelongTogether."

Gomez's post arrived after Rihanna recently spoke to The Root about the issue at hand. "I think in any situation where something is as devastating as what’s happening in America right now with the immigrants, you have to be as loud as you can," she said backstage of the 2019 BET Awards.

ABC News recently obtained a medical declaration from physician Dolly Lucio Sevier, who called out the alleged conditions. "The conditions within which they are held could be compared to torture facilities," Sevier wrote. "It just felt, you know, lawless. I mean, imagine your own children there. I can't imagine my child being there and not being broken."
