'Teen Mom' Star Arrested For Domestic Violence

Teen Mom star Amber Portwood has been arrested for domestic battery.

According to TMZ, who was the first to break the report on Friday (July 5), the 29-year-old was booked in Indianapolis just before 6 a.m. Per police protocol, the alleged victim's identity remains undisclosed, though the celebrity gossip outlet indicates Portwood was still in police custody at the time of the article's publication (6:44 a.m. PT).

The reality star is the mother of two children: 10-year-old Leah, whom she had with ex-boyfriend Gary Shirley, and 1-year-old James, whose father is Portwood's current boyfriend, Andrew Glennon. The arrest comes a week after a recent episode of the MTV series hinted that Glennon and Portwood were expecting their second child together and the pair might be headed for marriage.

This is not Portwood's first run-in with the law. You can recall, she was previously imprisoned in 2012 for violating her probation in a drug possession case. She was given the option of entering rehab or going to prison — she opted for the latter, spending 17 months behind bars.
