Authorities in Virginia arrested a man who they say stole items from 18 cars in a 24 hour period. Prince George’s County patrol officers responded to a report about a vehicle break-in around 4:30 a.m. and confronted 34-year-old Terry Johnson.

Johnson tried to flee but was arrested following a brief foot chase. The officers say he matched the description of a man who was wanted for a series of break-ins in the area.

When Johnson was taken into custody, officers found items he had stolen from some of the vehicles.

He was charged with multiple counts of theft, property damage, and other related charges. He is being held without bond until his court hearing.
