A woman in Santa Clarita, California was spotted being towed by a red sedan as she was riding her three-wheeled motorized scooter in the middle of rush hour traffic.
The video footage making the rounds on social media shows an elderly woman riding on her mobility scooter as it's pulled down Valencia Boulevard Tuesday night. A tow strap can be seen attached to the car and the scooter as they travel down the busy surface streets.
One witness told ABC 7 that the woman was nearly hit by several cars, but the woman didn't appear to care, as she waved them off with her hand and the car continued towing her down the street. Several drivers reportedly contacted 911 to report what they saw.
The Santa Clarita Sheriff's Department said the daredevil maneuver seen in the footage is not only dangerous, its also illegal. However, it's unclear whether law enforcement contacted the woman or the driver of the red sedan.
