Robin Williams’ youngest son celebrated his late father's life in most wonderful way.
Cody Williams tied the knot with fiancee Maria Flores on what would have been Robin’s 68th birthday this Sunday (July 21). What’s more, the 27-year-old, who popped the question to his love back on Valentine's Day 2018, got married at his childhood home, where he and his sister, Zelda, were raised by Robin and their mom, Marasha Garces.
On the day of the nuptials, Zelda took to Instagram to praise her little brother on his marriage while honoring their dad's memory. “The 21st of July has meant many things to me over the years," she wrote with a set of images of Cody and Maria at their union. "It was the day my Dad was born, and the last day I got to see him."
"On the 21st of July, 2019, it became the day I officially gained a new sister!" Zelda continued. "To @mariaaafloresssswilliams and Cody, you are a light in all of our lives. I'm so grateful to have paid witness to your love over the years, to have watched you grow and care for each other in ways we should all be so lucky to experience."
It’s said each guest at the event were given yellow roses and candles were lit to remember the lost loved ones of both Cody and Maria. The bride honored the passing of her grandfather Daniel Flores and auto Carol Bowling.
Five years before walking down the aisle, Cody’s beloved famous father, Robin — who is survived by his three children, including 36-year-old son Zachary — tragically died by suicide at the age of 63 in August 2014.
