Selma Blair has a new outlook on life and the Cruel Intentions star has a new look to match. On Thursday (July 25), the actress took to Instagram to debut the first photo of her completely shaved head following her latest round of treatment for her MS diagnosis.
"Today is a banner day. I am being discharged from the care of an incredible team of nurses and techs and a visionary Dr. who believes in my healing as much as I do," the 47-year-old captioned a shot of her smiling with her walk assist bike. "This has been a process. And will continue to be one. I am immunocompromised for next three months at least. So no kisses please. I wanted to make sure all complications here were my private space. And we got through brilliantly."
Blair went on to thank all her supporters for their love throughout the process, particularly her son, Arthur, who also turned 8-years-old today. "I see things so much more clearly now. And I am excited to share this journey when I am ready. For now, I have recovery," she continued. "And a great @the_alinker_world so I gotta split. Bye!!!!!! This is the best gift I could give to Arthur. #newimmunesystem #whodis?"
If you pick up the latest issue of PEOPLE, you'll see Blair talk more about her journey in their new cover story. "It’s constant weakness and fatigue,” she told the magazine of her current symptoms, which also include spasmodic dysphonia, a condition that weaken vocal chords.
