Leonardo DiCaprio's Girlfriend Camila Morrone Speaks On 22 Year Age Gap

By Connor Hachey

July 27, 2019

You might know 22 year old actress Camila Morrone from her work in films "Never Goin' Back" and "Death Wish," but more recently Camila's name has been a staple in headlines about her relationship with actor Leonardo DiCaprio. The model recently took to her Instagram stories to speak on controversy surrounding the 22 year age gap between her and the 44 year old "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood" actor.

After posting a photo on Instagram featuring photos of 1940's Hollywood actors Lauren Bacall and husband Humphrey Bogart with the caption "a love like this," trolls swarmed the comments slamming her relationship with DiCaprio. Bacall and Bogart met when they were respectively 19 and 45, which fueled the hateful comparisons in Morrone's replies.

Camila then jumped on her IG stories and clapped back at those detractors, claiming that they are speaking on "people that they know nothing about."

Good morning people and happy Friday. I just read some of the comments on my Instagram and my god...people are so mean and full of anger with people that they know nothing about. I guess I just hope on this Friday that people learn to live with a little less hatred and place their time and interests elsewhere. Because living without hatred feels pretty good.

A selection of the hateful replies can be found below. Instagram user veganncow warned her that Leonardo will be dumping her in a few years due to her getting older.

You only have a couple more years before he dumps you girl! Collect your bag

User Mrs_Shirer pointed out the 'Titanic' actor's track record for not dating anyone over 25 and even theorized that due to her mom not being 'in her picture' (which is unconfirmed), she doesn't understand the true dynamics of their relationship.

Ugh, poor thing. If it has to be explained to her she really is too young to get it.... don’t really see a Mom in her picture which probably explains a lot. Maybe ask ‘Mr. DiCaprio’ where he truthfully sees himself in 3 to 5 years? ...a track record is a track record.
