Aside from her killer vocals, Ariana Grande is known, in part, for her signature hairstyle: The high ponytail. It’s been a major part of her look for the majority of her career as an artist, and she makes headlines whenever she decides to switch things up by letting her locks loose. But Ariana’s not the only celebrity whose hairstyle has become a defining part of her look. Back in the ‘90s, when “Friends” first debuted, Jennifer Aniston’s haircut – immediately known as “The Rachel” – was immediately recognizable, too. Scroll on to check out even more celebs – from Justin Bieber to Miley Cyrus and beyond – who have also had some truly memorable hairstyles!

Ariana has been rocking her iconic ponytail since her start in 2013. She’ll mix it up every now and then; the ponytail has been red, platinum blonde, filled with baubles, braided, down past her hips and crimped. She’s tried it all.

The singer has had many iconic hair-dos, but she rocked the hair bow on countless red carpets, performances and appearances in 2009. She gave the look a rest for almost a decade before bringing it back with a braided twist in 2018 and then again at this year’s Met Gala, with the bows scaled down in size as a homage to her former ‘do.

8. Justin Bieber

When he first burst onto the pop music scene with his side-swept ‘do, teens all over the world would swoon when the Biebs would do his famous hair flip. He has since gone through many hair transformations, but that will never stop us from calling similar styles “Justin Bieber Hair”.
