The death toll in the mass shooting at a Walmart in El, Paso Texas has risen to 22. Authorities say that two additional victims passed away in the hospital on Monday (August 5). The victims' names were not immediately released.

Police say the massacre was carried out by a 21-year-old white male from Dallas who harbored a hatred for immigrants. The suspect penned a four-page racist, anti-immigrant manifesto before the attack. He railed against "open borders" and warned that the "Hispanic invasion of Texas" could turn the state into a "Democratic stronghold."

Federal authorities are treating the shooting as an act of domestic terrorism, and the suspect could face the death penalty.
