Disney is set to debut a new Halloween party this year and it sounds spook-tacular! The Oogie Boogie Bash will be held in Disney's California Adventure Park in California next month and Mickey Mouse has a ton of tricks up his sleeve for this one. Here's everything you need to know about the exciting new Halloween extravaganza.
Major Disney parks fans will be familiar with Disney World's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party held in Magic Kingdom every year. The Oogie Boogie Bash definitely takes some inspiration from NSSHP, however, it's taking things to the next level. Disneyland's spin on the Halloween celebration will be themed after The Nightmare Before Christmas and some of Disney's most iconic villains.
In addition to the spooky theming, there will be also be a ton of food and drinks for party-goers to taste test. Alcohol will be served openly at The Oogie Boogie Bash, as well, which is unprecedented in the California parks. Some of the Halloween themed snacks to look forward to include sweet potato hand pie, graveyard cupcake, Oogie Boogie churro, Halloween candy applies, Maleficent candy apple, cauldron cake pops, Oogie Boogie krispie treat, Hades hot dog, mummy donut, and a Cruella de Ville brownie.
Carthay Circle, the movie palace/restaurant will play a major party in the celebration. The outside of the building will be engulfed by Maleficent’s vines through some cool digital enhancements. Once you step inside, though, the restaurant will be transformed into an immersive haunted experience for guests.
Here's the official description of the Oogie Boogie Bash from Disneyland:
Don your favorite costume* to an all new family-friendly Disney Halloween party where Oogie Boogie, from Tim Burton’sThe Nightmare Before Christmas, has summoned the Disney Villains to Disney California Adventure Park for an unforgettable night of fun and fright—part of Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort. See Villainous! a new World of Color show (exclusive to this event), experience the wickedly transformed Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, walk along immersive treat trails featuring Disney Villains and join a pulsing dance party with the greatest dance crew from the Isle of the Lost—based on Disney’s Descendants movies.
The Disney Parks Blog Instagram account shared a sneak peak of the 'Villainous' show, as well, and it looks all kinds of awesome.
Oogie Boogie Bash is open for a limited time only from September 17 through October 31. The party requires a special admission ticket, which cost between $110 and $145 per person depending on which day the party is being held. Tickets can be purchased at Disneyland.com.
