The new Disney+ streaming platform is already causing a storm as fans of Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more get ready for all their content to be in one place. The new streaming service which is planning to launch in America on November 12th held a featured panel at Anaheim’s bi-annual D23 Convention where details on all new programming was released.
Fans can expect to see Toy Story 4’s own Forky get a spin off short called “Forky Asks a Question”. The news was previously announced back in April, but D23 fans were welcomed with a visit from Tony Hale, the original actor, who presented a new trailer and announced that he will be reprising his role. The show will follow along as Forky uncovers answers to a multitude of life questions including “What is money?” and “What is love?”
Monsters at Work is also a a new series coming featuring Aisha Tyler and Ben Feldman as Tylor and Millie. The series will change focus from the original movies where instead of the monsters generating power from children’s screams, they’ll now be able to pull energy from their laughter. During the convention, Aisha stated that we can look forward to a lot of fun being translated to screen.
“It’s so fun and funny we love working together.”
Fans of the original animated series Phineas and Ferb will be in for quite the surprise to know that Disney+ will be streaming all 127 episodes. Summer vacation continues as the two brothers this time will star in Phineas and Ferb – The Movie – Candace Against the Universe. In the series, the boys would mastermind scientific projects as their older sister tried to catch them in the act. Typically, the entire family would never know what Candace was up to. Now, the film will change course and focus on the boys having to rescue Candace “who has been abducted by aliens and has found utopia in a far-off planet, free of pesky little brothers.” And yes, fans can expect the same catchy tunes to make their way into the new project. Ashley Tisdale will return as Candace Flynn and Vincent Martella will return as Phineas Flynn.
Disney+ releases November 12th in America. Look forward to an all new collection of game shows, cooking shows, non fiction content and unscripted content.
