Kelly Ripa Gives Daughter Lola Sweet Kiss Before She Heads To College

Kelly Ripa shared a bittersweet moment with her daughter, Lola, as she heads to college this fall.

On Sunday (August 25), the Live with Kelly and Ryan star was among the many moms — including Angelina Jolie — sharing proud mommy moments as they sent their young adults off to school. The 48-year-old was no exception, as she helped her 18-year-old move into her dorm room this weekend, but not before planting a sweet kiss on her baby girl’s face before saying goodbye.

“The nest is getting roomy,” Ripa wrote with the heartfelt photo, which shows Lola embracing her mom one last time before starting school this week. Although not pictured, Lola’s father, Mark Consuelos, also celebrated the big moment by sharing the same photo on his Instagram account. “2 down… 1 to go…❤️❤️❤️❤️,” the Riverdale actor wrote in the caption.

Days before Lola’s big day, Ripa posted a throwback image of the married couple during their daughter’s Christening. “#tbt 2001 from your Christening to college. In the blink of an eye,” she wrote. “I’m not crying. You’re crying 😢 (actually Daddy’s sobbing).”

As fans know, Lola is Ripa and Consuelos’ middle child, right after older brother, Michael, 22, and little brother Joaquin, 16. Michael has already moved out of his parents’ home to study at New York University.
